Maimi

Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn...Harriet Beecher Stowe

Today I went to Miami and I do not think the city likes me.  I lost $100.00 prepaid Visa card and because I do not have the number I can't do anything about it.  I encountered a lot of rude people even know I was polite.  I had to visit Best Buy even know I am avoiding all things related to Future Shop.  It was the only place I could go to get what I needed in the whole city of Miami.  Starbucks messed up my drink.

I did spend some time at Adventura Mall in Mami which is a very large mall.  I thought forsure I was going to get lost but I didn't.  It was hard not to go shopping as they has some very nice thigs for very cheap prices.  I did see this cool train set.

I met a nice bird on my walk, what I mean about nice, is I met a bird that chased me down the street! I had run away from it. Specking of running I did a lot of it in Maimi and found out that my sandles are nice and comfly and easy to run in.

The last part of my trip to Miami was good however, the supervisor for the buses gave me a free ride.  I am not are why, I simply asked what bus to take to get to south beach and what the fare was. He asked why I was going there and I said to go for a swim to wash away my day and start fresh. He said he would tell the bus driver that I would get on for free.

On the way to the beach I had a lot of people help me get to where I needed to go.  This made me rethink the people of Miami.  Not everyone is rude and not everyone is unhappy.  The funny thing is, the people who were nice and helpful were the people who didn't speak English well and were not from the USA.  The ones who were rude were people from the USA.  Actually everyone I have come across has been someone from different parts of the world have been very helpful and nice.  I have had a pleasure meeting these ladies and gentlemen and have even exchanged contact information.

With the help of helpful people, I made it to the beach but it was dark so I couldn't take too many pictures but that doesn't matter because I did get to go for my swim.  I only stayed about 15 minutes but it was long enough to do what I had planned to do.

On my way back I almost missed my bus and would have had to wait 30 minutes for the airport bus but the driver stopped when I flagged him down because of a traffic jam.  Even when a bad day happens there is always something positive to take out of it.

I really think that Miami was trying to tell me to get out of their city.  Not sure what I did to Miami but it doesn't seem to want me there.

I'm at the airport about to go to my gate so I will say Good Night to everyone and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.  I will miss being with my family tomorrow but I also will be happy to be starting this journey finally.

I will leave you with a last picture of me.  I starred the day off with straight hair and this is what I needed my day with.

I can only imagine what it will look like throughout my trip. I did bring my straightener, however I do not think I will be using it very often.

(This will be my last regular post as I will only be able to post when I have wifi, please do not worry about me as I will update when I can! I also met someone in the airport who lives in Costa Rica as well as Miami, he has given me names of good hostels and told me if I need anything to call or email him. I haven't even left yet and I already have contacts in a few Countries.)
